CONCEPT FOR THE EVOLUTION OF A COURSE PAGE

Conceptual work for a possible evolution of the course page, with a top navigation bar and a 4-column grid, with the columns around the main body allowing for context menus or other content.

 

MESSAGE BOARD (mobile)

A message board in every course for students to discuss the topics that they can learn.

 

COURSE EVALUATION (mobile)

Evolution of the rating feature shown below, where students can give a 5-star rating, choose the features they liked (or disliked if the rating isn’t good) and add a comment.

Course page for an external MOOC course, with community and educational features such as student message board and guiding question

HOW TO REGISTER WITH A EXTERNAL MOOC PROVIDER

User flow that students would go through when requesting information about how to register to an external MOOC provider (in this case, Coursera).

UNIVERSITY CHOICE

Students would be able to find out what their qualifications towards accessing the university system are, and access other useful information or programs.

 

STUDY TRACK OVERVIEW

This feature showed students how the study track they chose is organized and what their progress is.

 

PROFILE PAGE

Two different designs for the profile page where students could add their personal information. The first one was implemented in the Kiron Campus.

 

COURSE EVALUATION

Mockup of a rating feature that students would see when finishing a course. They would be able to give a general satisfaction level and then select what they liked and disliked. They would also be able to add comments. The feature was implemented in the Kiron Campus.

A script written for a user test with real students. It consists on three tasks and a final round with generic questions.

 

THE ROASTERY

One of the presentations used in the facilitation of a design critique, called The Roastery. This critique consisted on two designs.

The Meta Roastery is a section at the end to talk about how to make The Roastery better.
